    1. Is it better to bolt the canopy down or to use “throw over” catches?
When we fit a canopy, we rust treat the holes we have drilled into the vehicle. To bolt the canopy
to the load body we secure a permanent 8 mm thread to the flanges of the load body. This
method is neat and professional and is much more secure than that of the “throw over” catches.

    2. Is the canopy removable?
Most definitely. It takes approximately 1 minute per mounting point and another 30 seconds to
lift the canopy off. However canopies with cab seals tend to leak if removed and replaced on a
frequent basis. Customers that go for this option should take note of this, when deciding to select
the same.

    3. Cab sliding window or cab seal, which is best?
Some canopy manufacturers usually offer only one of the above. We do both, but with the pro’s
and cons respectively:

Problem Cab Sliding Window Cab Seal
Damage to Paint Not possible Damage to paint possible
if used under dust off-road
conditions.

Leaking Not possible Unlikely, but could occur with
damage caused excess removal
and re-fitment.

Dirt between windows Could occur after rain or off-
road use in dusty conditions
Dust cannot get in between due
to the seal, and the use of only
the cab window in the bakkie.

    4. What is the warranty?

Base Line, Econo Line and Lux Line canopies.
We offer the same guarantee as the vehicle, due to the fact that we are approved by the
motor  manufacturers, with a maximum of 3 years or 100 000 km  whichever  comes first.

Fleet Line , Aero Space Canopies
Carry a 12 month warranty due to the industrial and hazardous nature it has to operate in.

    5. What is the load capacity of the roof?
We have different capacities for our different models.

    Lux-Line & Econo-Line:
Base-Line:
Fleet-Line:
300kg spread across the outer four corners of the canopy.
150kg spread across the outer four corners of the canopy.
250kg spread over the factory fitted roof rack.

However should you wish to load on the canopy’s roof, always confirm with the vehicle manufacturer
the load capacity. Also bear in mind that you do not want to make the vehicle top heavy, especially
in off-road conditions.

    6. How long does it take to get an Aero Canopy?
Depending on our stock holding and demand for a certain make and model, we endeavour to keep
stock of every make and by-product in white.
However most of the luxury canopies are colour coded , of which we have shells ready for painting.
This usually takes 3-7 working days, again depending on capacity and demand.

    7. How long does fitment take?
This depends on the type of canopy and options ordered. Anything from 1 hour to a whole day.
Please confirm with us when you place your order.

    8. Why should I buy an Aero Canopy?
Our answer is simple. Please go to our competitors first and we will refer you to them gladly on
request. After which come to our expert show room and professional sales staff to view our products
first hand. We are certain that you will find our products and service superior to the rest, and you’ll
join the many other satisfied Aero customers.
